Christoph Seyferth originally designed the Lloyd Table for the avant-garde Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy in Amsterdam. Since the hotel’s opening in 2004, design cognoscenti have anointed the Lloyd as a new classic. The streamlined form is beautiful to look at, and the basic construction is ingeniously practical. The steel top flexes to accommodate uneven surfaces, so all four legs always touch the floor.

Christoph Seyferth eschews the belief that good design must come from big egos. His products are humane and functional, designed for everyday use. Seyferth’s diverse background spans fine arts, carpentry, architecture, and interior design, as well as furniture design. He has done everything from build his own house to design eyewear for Adidas. Seyferth’s work has a certain timeless quality, referencing the integrity of thoughtful craftsmanship and celebrating the essence of pure materials like wood, leather, and steel.
