The Krok series of coat racks excels in simplicity. The designers Mia Lagerman & Ehlén Johansson have stripped the design to its bare essentials. As is the case for the open cloakroom stand Krok Round. A solid but streamlined design with 12 double plastic hooks. The crown, umbrella holder and foot in cast aluminium are finished with a textured coating.
Winners of numerous design awards, Mia Lagerman and Ehlén Johansson met while on staff at Ikea. Lagerman had studied at Stockholm’s Konstfackskolan and at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, while Johansson graduated from the HDK-School of Design and Craft at Gothenburg University. The two maintain their own practices but collaborate frequently, creating playful yet spare furniture, lighting, accessories, and bathroom fixtures for wide range of manufacturers.
