What makes the Sticks series of coat stands so unique is the combination of plastic, aluminium and oak wood. Sticks Round is an open design with twelve double hooks. The crown, umbrella holder and base are made from aluminium and finished with white textured varnish.
Winners of numerous design awards, Mia Lagerman and Ehlén Johansson met while on staff at Ikea. Lagerman had studied at Stockholm’s Konstfackskolan and at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, while Johansson graduated from the HDK-School of Design and Craft at Gothenburg University. The two maintain their own practices but collaborate frequently, creating playful yet spare furniture, lighting, accessories, and bathroom fixtures for wide range of manufacturers.
